Thanks to The Fayette County Record of LaGrange, Texas for running a little bit in the paper about our meeting! I talked to Ralph, John and Arnold at the meeting. We mentioned possibly airing city council meetings, farm and ranch programming, antique festival news and how that relates to a "local advisory board". We talked about dance halls and the big MS150 bike ride that happens once a year. People wanted to know their roles and about tax deductions for donations. Since LaGrange is a small town I learned that folks are sensitive to be activily backing something with the possibility of it failing. Wise words.
We stopped by Bistro 108 for an excellent seafood dinner and then drove by The Bugle Boy heading north back to Austin. The Bugle Boy is a concert hall with a non-profit foundation supporting its activities.
